IPAD 4 & IPHONE 4s Battery Refresh

 Every now and then my Ipad and Iphone battery needs refreshing.

This observation is from my own experience.

Take note that both devices are used intensively. 

Iphone 4s with IOS Version 5.1.1
Owned since 2011 but battery was replaced in 2013 cause it was damaged due to heavy gaming while charging.

Ipad 4 with IOS Version 6.1.3
Owned since 2013


I was always charging them while turned ON but I do not use them while charging them anymore.

Firstly I was starting to notice that as soon as I unplugged the charger and after about 1 minute of use the battery meter showed 97%.

And Secondly

The Iphone starts to shut down usually when the battery meter is at 20%.

The Ipad shuts down at 3% to 7%, Yes I always try to use the most of my battery.


Solution

Plug the charger while the device is ON.
Make sure the device is being charged.
Turn off the device.
If you turn off the device first, it will turn ON automatically.

To use the speakers of the monitor you need to connect a cable to the PC. The cable is provided. Set the speakers volume no more than 27.

To edit Settings of the monitor with the PC you need to install EIZO software.

Power Consumption is 27.7 Watts at Brightness 80 Contrast 65.

Use Smart Insight for stronger and truer brightness. For Games use. Recommended setting 3.

Comments: 

Monitor has a very good brightness and sharpness.

The viewing angles from left to right are perfect, bottom to top is good due to the IPS panel.

You can adjust tilt and height.

You wont regret buying this monitor.

What I don't like about Nikon D4

 This kind of equipment is expensive and when I want or need to upgrade I expect the upgrades to worth this buy.


I own a D3 and when D4 was announced with 16 MP it got my attention. After reading all the specs I was seriously disappointed not to mention the price increase. Cars are getting better but the price sometimes gets even lower not higher.

I will list what things I don't like about Nikon D4.

1. Record button near the shutter button: It's a camera not a camcorder, yes I know it can shoot 1080HD...
2. Two new 'sub-selectors' on the rear: Nikon why you keep adding more awkward buttons to touch them accidentally and ruin my day?
3. 2 Type of memory cards: If it was 2 XQD then it would be just fine. I trust Sony more than any other brand, from professional experience of course.
4. Connectivity: Still USB 2.0, for real? come on...
5. Price: $5,999.95, yes is a lot for me. D3s was $5,199.95. 

No I wont Buy a Nikon D4.

24 Inches LED Monitors High Definition

2 Best Choices 

LG W2486L-PF 24'' LED PIANO BLACK

SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER BX2431 LED BLACK

Why?

Their screen is LED, which means better quality in colors and brightness. The most important though is low power consumption. This 2  monitors consume no more than 28 Watts.

Their both 24 Inches, the response time is 2ms and their resolution is 1920 x 1080. I highlighted with red the vertical resolution to point out that is FULL HD. Their are plenty of monitors that are 1050, be careful with that. You can't change the resolution of LCD monitors and expect to be ok, is fixed. That's the only downside.


24 Inches Screen is pretty big, for me that I use photoshop it's also 1 of the best choice for size. Some will say is not too big. Spending too many hours on a screen is not good for the eyes so I will stick with 24, I wont buy bigger than that.

My choice is the LG, I tried to get one but is out of stock for now. I own a 22 inch LG and I' m happy with it. If I don't manage to buy the LG I will get the Samsung.

P500, S9100 and L120

 

Firstly L120 is out of my list, why? it needs 4 x AA batteries.  

It doesn't use Rechargeable Li-ion Battery.

 

Now for the remaining P500 and S9100

 Both Share the following:

Minimum focus S9100 has the edge:

S9100 in Telephoto is Approx. 5 ft  (1.5 m) to infinity

P500 in Telephoto is Approx. 7 ft 3 in (2.2m) to infinity

 

In Macro Mode thought S9100 is better: 

S9100 Approx. 1.6 in (4 cm) to infinity (wide-angle position)

P500  Approx. 4 in. (10 cm) to infinity (wide-angle position)

 

S9100 can last longer:

S9100 Still pictures: Approx. 271 shots

P500 Still pictures: Approx. 220 shots 

 

I choose the P500 cause of it's bigger zoom lens and also wider. This cameras are superzoom so i wont bother about their macro capabilities.
